Library Speak features trends and events in and related to libraries, with a focus on innovation.

The site’s host, Gordon Yusko, is the Assistant Director at the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre, part of the University of British Columbia Library system. In the odd bit of spare time he does consulting. Prior to working at UBC he was a senior manager for 10 years the San José Public Library in California, and prior to that, worked for the BC Public Library Services Branch, the BC Legislative Library and the Canadian federal government.
